Accommodation guide

As an international student you have a guarantee that you will have a place to live when you arrive at Jönköping University. However if you have been living in Sweden before you started studying you will have to find accommodation on your own and the housing situation in Jönköping can be problematic. But don’t give up!
Where to look
There is a forum here on the Jönköping Student union webpage where you can look for housing. Jönköping University has a big database with landlords in Jönköping and that’s a good place to start.

It’s also a good idea to ask your friends and senior students if they know of any available apartments, word of mouth spreads quickly! Or maybe you and a friend might share an apartment, it’s easier to find bigger apartments.

If you are having problems finding a place to live or want to know your rights and obligations when renting an apartment, contact us and we will help you.

Contact vice president Henning Karlsson, who is responsible for these kind of questions at vices@karen.hj.se or come up and meet us at Floor 2 in Studenternas hus.
